I am fortunate to live on maui and experience the air being sweetened by the plumeria, tuber rose, and the night blooming jasmin. As a gardener my days are infused with the natural smells of herbs and vegetables scenting the air. When i travel, i realise how sensitive i have become to so many of the man made smells, of airports, aeroplanes, pefumes, traffic and garbage.
